A successful B2B Sales and Marketing company is looking to hire a Business Development Manager to join their ambitious team. You will enjoy a competitive salary with a generous commission and bonus structure and an opportunity to progress into a senior sales position with the business.

The Business Development Manager role is an office and field sales role. As Business Development Manager, you will work to improve the market position and achieve financial growth. Working in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment, the primary responsibilities are to define long-term strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify opportunities, negotiate and close business opportunities and maintain an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:

  • Prospecting for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential customers.
  • Managing prospective customers, often being required to make presentations on our services.
  • Exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales and productivity forecasts
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Develop a pipeline of new business coming into the company
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased Sales.
  • Plan approaches and pitches.
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Create and implement effective direct sales strategies to achieve objectives.

The Business Development Manager must have:

  • At least one years’ worth of relevant experience with the ability to build strong relationships quickly and effectively.
  • Be able to drive and have access to own car.
  • A proven track record of strategic sales.
  • Consistent communication skills i.e. be in constant contact with a high level of verbal and written communication skills, which are essential.
  • Action oriented, ensuring customer requirements are being met and delivered in an agreed period, driving improvements and growth, referring to the engagement and business development team.
  • Confident with clients and customers with an open, enthusiastic and positive approach.
  • The ability to work within a team with flexibility to support the Company.
  • The ability to build rapport with customers quickly.
  • Attention to detail in all forms of communication.
  • Confidence to advise and demonstrate to customers the features, actions and benefits of our services.
  • Ability to manage numerous tasks at one time and stay focused on the delivery of task.
  • Influential and persuasive.

In return the BDM will receive a salary of £20,000 to £25,000 DOE, plus an OTE of £52k uncapped per year. Excellent company benefit include 28 days paid holiday + bonus holidays, birthday off, pension, office close to public transport and excellent career progression opportunities.
