An established technology company is looking for a new business sales executive to generate new business opportunities and deliver new customer wins within retail technology / retail chains / enterprise business.

You will also be responsible for maintaining existing customer relationships in sales territory to drive high levels of customer engagement and further future sales opportunities.

As the New Business Sales executive you will be responsible for:

  • Seeking out new business opportunities and deliver consistently against targets
  • Build, manage and maintain a substantial pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Ensure that all pipeline activity is accurately recorded and updated within CRM
  • Thoroughly research and understand individual market sectors to identify potential customer targets
  • Accurately forecast sales by month and quarter
  • Demonstrate product and services suite clearly and differentiate offerings within the market
  • Successfully position this solution within the context appropriate to the specific client or sector
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms as required and in line with company guidelines
  • Ensure all customers receive a professional handover once sale is agreed
  • Continually development of your knowledge and skills to ensure they remain relevant
  • Ensure completion of all required Sales documentation and adherence to all Sales processes
  • Demonstrate effective and collaborative use of all available resources to win sales
  • Understands the value of developing leads and contacts through cold calling when necessary

The successful candidate for the role of New Business Sales Executive will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Love problem solving  
  • Be able to build rapport quickly with prospects in meetings and at exhibitions or events as required  
  • Work closely with internal teams and key stakeholders internally and externally and love the hunt of new business.
  • A track record of closing complex solutions sales
  • A background in retail technology or EPOS would be desirable.
  • Experience selling at senior management and business owner level
