Role: Rights Team Member

Responsibilities:

As a Rights Team Member, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the company's position as a global audiobook publishing leader. Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing relationships with key agents, content providers, and publishers worldwide.

- Nurturing relationships with our exclusive publishing partners.

- Utilising your expertise to identify the best titles for trade and library markets.

- Presenting and pitching the company's business, brand, and core values effectively.

- Assessing manuscripts to ensure the company acquires top-quality titles.

- Negotiating commercial terms at a high level.

- Closing international deals on titles from world-renowned authors.

- Maintaining, managing, and expanding the entire publishing list.

- Mentoring our editorial and rights team.

- Exploring new formats for our content portfolio.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must:

- Demonstrate market awareness with in-depth knowledge of major authors and publishing houses.

- Have at least five years' experience in selling or buying rights, showcasing a track record of top acquisitions/sales.

- Possess experience in the audiobook industry.

- Exhibit strong negotiation skills and a passion for closing excellent deals.

- Be a natural hunter with a can-do approach to acquisitions.

- Demonstrate determination, grit, and a relentless desire to succeed.

- Be conscientious and detail-oriented.

- Have superior presentation, organizational, and administration skills.
