Are you a recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys helping others perform at their best?
We're looking for a driven, energetic recruiter to join a growing recruitment business in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has built a successful trades, labour, construction or engineering desk and is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.
You'll be running your own desk while acting as a go-to person for the wider team – helping junior consultants, sharing best practice and leading from the front through your own activity and success.
The Opportunity
This role combines billing and leadership. You'll have the autonomy to build and grow your own desk while helping to support and develop a team of recruiters around you.
We're looking for someone who naturally takes ownership, enjoys mentoring others and isn't afraid to lead by example.
What You'll Be Doing
- Running and growing your own recruitment desk
- Winning new business and developing client relationships
- Recruiting for temporary and permanent positions
- Supporting and mentoring junior consultants
- Helping drive activity, urgency and performance across the team
- Acting as a first point of contact for day-to-day questions and guidance
- Working closely with senior leadership to help grow the division
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years recruitment experience
- Background in trades & labour, construction, engineering or another fast-paced recruitment sector
- Strong business development skills
- Experience recruiting into temporary, contract or permanent markets
- A proactive, high-energy approach
- Someone who enjoys helping others and leading by example
- Ambition to progress into a larger leadership role over time
